The three mile long Kloochman Butte Trail connects Silver Star trail 180 with Tarbell Trail. The trailhead is located at the Tarbell Picnic Camp Area. Hike south on the Tarbell Trail to the Kloochman Butte Trail junction. Climb through forestlands to the timberline and beyond the junction with Ed’s trail. There are outstanding vistas of Sturgeon Rock, Mt. St. Helen’s and Mt. Adams. In May and June, this trail offers spectacular wildflower displays. The trail is open from late May through Early October and is accessible to hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders.
